    Default Zach Budish

League in sig. He has received some hype for a few years (in Dobber's top 215 prospects list) but after all of this time he still looks like he has some development ahead of him before making the jump. His 5 points in 21 AHL games are worrisome. I am currently holding him on my farm team with the hope that if he makes it his skill set could make him a nice all-around contributor in my league.

    Anyone have more insight here?

Not worth keeping at this point, looking like he'll be a plugger or nothing. What is he, 23 now? Running out of time

Does this mean Budish will drop in the rankings?

Any glimmers of hope for this guy at all? Considering he never quite mananged a point-per-game season in college, and he's just over half a point per game in the ECHL I figure he's a lost cause, but I would have to buy him out to get rid of him. Thus if there is any chance of a resurgence I might leave him on my farm for the year and avoid the buyout cap hit.

If you have the space to keep him for another year to avoid a buyout penalty, then sure do so. But if he's taking up a valuable spot, take the penalty and dump him. If this guy couldn't even hit PPG in college playing with Bjugstad and Rau there's no hope for him in the NHL. Just a very blah prospect.....maybe he gets onto a 4th line somewhere, someday but even that's a long shot.
