I would have to say McDavid. But I guess it also depends where he ends up.
Nathan MacKinnon
Connor McDavid
Who of those 2 has the higher ceiling? Who would you rather own longterm in 3-4 years from now?
Who will have the "better" NHL career production wise and fantasy wise?

Very tough call but after seeing McKinnons rookie year I would have to pick him. Only reason is that he has already shown what he can do at a NHL level

Too early to comment. MacK has started brilliantly while MacD comes with a lot of reputation. Gun to my head and forced to pick one, agree with Yonald, have to pick MacK who has already shown what he is capable of.

Mcdavid.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
my answer could change after i see a year of mcdavid in the NHL, but if you are asking me to pick now it will easily be mackinnon, i'll take the proven asset every time.
I want both

Mcdavid easily
Well MacKinnon looks like he's poised to be a 90+ point forward in the NHL with a complete game. So unless people think McDavid will be 100+ in the bank, gimme the kid who is showing me how he can be dominant at the NHL level. Not taking anything away from McDavid at all... but as we all know things can happen with prospects, even the greatest ones.

He had the same rookie year, points-wise, as Skinner. If you ask me Skinner or McDavid, I go McDavid again.
While MacKinnon has proven himself this year, (I also think he is the real deal), his consistency hasn't been established yet.
I just think McDavid has been touted as an elite prospect for some time, a generational talent. Worth the gamble.

Mackinnon just off his rookie year and he should continue to get better.
Nathan MacKinnon.
I understand the drooling that goes with McDavid but how can you pass up MacKinnon and choose McDavid? MacK is already a stud. He's in a great young core with Duchene, Landeskog and one of O'Reilly / Stastny ( One will go in the off season). McDavid will carve out a nice career for himself just as MacK will - but there probably will not be all that much difference in production between the two of them at their peak. Take the player who is already in his system and thriving. Nathan MacKinnon.
I dunno, I seem to be the minority here, but I'll go McDavid all day!
