As a former annual attendee of the WCHA Final Five in St. Paul, this angers me. The weekend was flat in both arenas. We used to pack the X to the gills with fans from all over the region. Now we stare at empty seats.

I think it may have to do with conference realignment and loss of historical rivalries. New conferences have been formed this season, NCHC and Big10.
I don't follow the NCAA as much as I used to when my kids played but I think there have been some new schools added to DI as well.
That's my guess anyway.
