50/50 -- Yahoo does what they want.
What are the chances that Burns retains his 'D' status in Yahoo next season?

I know they love to take their time...I traded for Burns at the deadline (mostly for a playoff run), but would love to be able to squeeze one more year out of him (at least) as a D. Just trying to figure out my final keeper situation and was curious what other people thought.....I agree with you on 50/50. If I was a betting man and had to choose, based on past performance, I'd say Yahoo still has him as F/D next year.

Yahoo is pretty terrible when it comes to position eligibilty but i think Burns will get enough complaints so that hes RW only
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
Right now two of my top defenseman are Burns and Byfuglien..... I hope they don't lose D status next year or I am screwed haha.

I'll go 90% (loses D)/10% (retains D) for Burns.
I'll go 10% (loses D)/90% (retains D) for Buff.
I actually think Yahoo! will clean up their act next year.
We've done some solid bitching about it.
Buff should be D/F, as he played half season at each.
He'll be very valuable next year - though he hasn't shown that he'll necessarily score more at F than D.
It actually can hurt you in leagues counting BLK, because you can't roster a Buff/Burns in a D-slot and lose out on BLK.
I think there is a very good chance that Burns will be RW only next year in Yahoo. Buff still plays the point on the PP and played half of this season at only D so I think he will likely get dual again next year.
WEll, as a Burns owner, I certainly hope he retains his D for next year. But in the end...the fact that he had it for this year immediately give me no only a leg up this year, but also next.
I get to keep my players based on their positional eligibility this year. So Burns is going to be kept this year as a D...and if he's only RW next year, then I managed to nab an extra quality forward in the place of a D. Just means I can focus on grabbing the next best D in the draft (which is far more hit and miss) than the "next best forward"...usually a reason why the forwards available in the draft are available in the draft.
But yeah... Yahoo really should get their act together.
They are notoriously slow at everything, and do what they want. ESPN, TSN, and CBC have taken his D status away. So I can see them taking it away in the offseason, but who knows with Yahoo. Come September he could be Goalie eligible in Yahoo.
Buff will stay D eligible. I guarantee it. He’s only got a hand full of games as a forward this yr, and he does play point on powerplays. I think there has been a few times when a D is shaken up and he actually goes out for a shift or two as a D when he’s started the game as a forward. No reason why they would take it away.

Needs fixed asap. Burns should not be one of the more valuable guys n any format. Its a joke. Buff too. Why doesnt Malkin have d eligibilty he plays the pp point. Position eligibility is my only real gripe with yahoo. Its an absolute joke. They jus pick n chose at random it seems what to do
Cause Buff can actually play D. I see why he’s still D eligible still because in a pickle Jets can put him on the back end. Malkin won’t be placed on the back end other than PP. Plus if you watch powerplays, everyone just kinda rotates around. For the leafs they may run with 2 D on the PP, but kessel could have the puck at the blue line. The only FANTASY RELEVENT player who should be forward and D should be Big Buff, but they should put some clause where if a player plays a D position (outside of PP) for 40% of his TOI over the last season, he’s D eligible.
