I wish it was Khudobin.. but I can't see them not playing Ward.
For the rest of the season. Will Carolina ride the hot goalie (Khudobin), or stick with the Golden Boy?

They're paying Ward too much to sit him. My gut says if Khudobin stays hot, it'll be a 50/50 split the rest of the way.

I see Ward getting more looks that Khudobin down the road. Khudobin has proven to be a solid goalie and should be their guy but I don't see them giving up on their workhorse goalie, Ward.
Thanks all - not the answer I wanted but the truth hurts. Like many leagues at this time of year, mine has limited waiver wire options. Good thing I'm already third-last anyway
Khudobin will give you about 6 to 8 starts as guarantee with the B2B's the Canes have - could be more of course but no assurance.
I had to choose between keeping Ward or Khudobin when Ward came back from IR. Since I will be keeping neither I chose to drop Ward. When Ward was playing he was crap and ruining my ratios. I figure worst case Khudobin gets 1/3 starts but at least doesn't ruin my averages!
I say Khudobin plays the majority, because he's simply better than Ward right now. Carolina isn't in a position to "see" if Ward gets his stuff together as they are 3 points back of a playoff spot. I'm guessing Ward's next start is one of the LA/ANA games.
12 team points only keeper (G = 1, A = 1, W = 2, SO = 2)
Dress 6 forwards, 4 defensemen, 2 goalies, weekly starts
Roster limit - 20 plus 4 prospects
A lot depends on how Ward does when he gets that first chance. Obviously, if he's blown out of the water they'll ride Khudobin for a bit before giving Ward another crack at it. But if he gets a shutout...we'd never see Khudobin again!

question is who should I play this week cause ward is starting tonight....Khudobin for 4 games @buf , @dal , @LA , @ANA or Keumper for 2 games back to back @edm @van
I currently have
Nabokov
Brodeur
Pavelec
Thomas
Rinne(IR)
Normally run on 3 goalies but I need to catch up on my goalie games.
Does it make any sense for me to drop brodeur.
and drop either nabokov (wont be that great without tavares) or Thomas?
In order to pick up both ward and khudobin and run them both til the end of the season with pavelec (and maybe hopefully have Rinne back for ~10 games)

Where did you hear that Ward is starting tonight. Both goaliepost and leftwinglock still show tonight's goalie as unconfirmed.

Well its not confirmed I believe but Ward was first goalie off ice so its should be a good indication
dailyfaceoff mentionned that ward was first off the ice during morning skate.

Ward could get a few shots in back-to-back games. As long as Carolina still has post-season hopes, Khudobin plays.
Havent we all seen enough of Ward to know what he is by now? Certainly Carolina has. Ward is my pick for most likely to receive a Compliance Buy-out in offseason. Carolina has cap issues and Ward's contract is beyond acceptable.
