(rep!) dump tyson barrie?? (trade for jaybo?)
i've been offered jaybo and olli jokinen for tyler ennis and tyson barrie in my keeper league. i'm currently gunning to win it this year but skeptical if this trade will help me through the entire year. i know jaybo's off to a hot start, and barrie is currently a healthy scratch, but on a pts-only basis, how do you see me coming out of such a trade? all players involved would end up being non-keepers in my case.

I'd counter offer: JBO for Barrie. I think I'd rather gamble on Ennis over that Jokinen. If the other guy is retooling, it might be worth his while to do a smaller trade.Originally Posted by gerbernomics
I wouldn't do it. Yes Ennis is cold, but he is streaky. He could start a 30 point in 30 game streak tomorrow and Barrie is still the best offence wise d man that Colorado has. There has been still only a small window of games played. I would hold off and yes I have Ennis and will stay patient.

If you're really in win now mode, I'd likely do it. Buffalo is terrible and as a result, it's hard to see Ennis doing anything good this year. Barrie is geting scratched whereas J-Bo is pretty consistent. My only other question is if you can pick up a FA replacement for Barrie. If not, doing it makes much more sense.
