Deja ****ing vu to last year's playoffs.
What a wasted amazing performance from Luongo. Jesus....what a waste.
Canucks adding more Grit?
Stanton picked up off waivers.
not likely to get much ice time.

Yeah, team really looked out of sync...not sure how to create offense out of this system. They've certainly practiced flopping in front of pucks though...new wrinkle.
I'm prepared to give this team latitude to struggle through October as they get used to a new coach and system after 7 years [I think] with AV. If they can keep a .500 record through Oct. they'd still be in position to start to make a push [if they have that in them].
Either way the big bodies and relentless pressure of the SHARKS was a tough draw for an opening game [on the road no less].

gotta like the beating on the oilers!
Not sure how they pulled it off last night in Calgary but any win is a good win.
Splitting up the Sedins, really seemed to spark the team.
Like how Lou is playing, should be interesting to see him and Cory battle Tuesday night!

So, David Booth is on the wire and I am thinking about picking him up.
Assuming he remains healthy, is he a lock for top 6? When Burrows gets back, what will the lines look like? I assume Higgins gets bounced to the third line, but I would appreciate some input from Vancouver fans
Thanks!

I thought Booth looked pretty dangerous last night and I'd imagine that he'll stick in the top 6 but his track record still isn't the greatest so who knows.

Thats a tough call, it depends on if Kassian makes the first line somewhat.
But I think Booth has a good shot at sticking with Kesler on the second line.

Surprised he hasn't pulled a groin muscle again. He looked really good last night.
So frustrated with Kesler. Before injuries were used as an excuse, what's his excuse now? Guy looks like he has no drive out there right now. I'm sick of him talking a big game and doing nothing to follow up on it.
I'm sick of the SJ Sharks. Ugh. Nucks killers.

Wow...just when I thought Hamhuis couldn't get any worse so far this season so far, he scores on Luongo.
On a more positive note, how awesome has Mike Santorelli been? He's been so versatile playing in all situations and looks like Tortorella feels comfortable playing him with anybody. Had a bunch of shifts with the Sedins and read them well

Not that the Sabres made it all that tough on him.

Woohoo Luiiiii getting me the shutout last night.
I've said it before but I'll say it again. Mike effing Santorelli. I feel like he's been one of the best players on this team so far this season. Being used in all situations and always seems to be effective with whoever he plays with. Didn't manage to catch most of last night's game but I see he grabbed a couple of assists.
