Butch called it -- Okposo is on pace for around 40 this year, but is on pace for closer to 60 over the last 25 games.
Lesson to be learned -- don't draft him, but trade for him prior to the deadline.

Congrats to the Isles. Can't wait to see Johnny T in the postseason. I know experience isn't everything but Nabokov has more playoff games than the majority of the East.
Check out the setup for hockey in Barclays Center.

Seriously what's the deal with Kevin Poulin on Long Isle. Is he the guy they're grooming or not. He accepted their qualifying offer today on a one-year two-way deal basis.
They don't even have a #2 goalie and he still can't get a one-way deal.Katie Strang @KatieStrangESPN 4m

Nassau today narrowed down plans for the new Coliseum to 2 builders ( Ratner , and MSG) Plans now call for a 14k seat arena which will sit another 1500 with the ice out. The big difference between this and the 16k seat existing Coliseum will be the ability to close off unused sections during smaller events therefore saving money and making it appear full.
Living in Nassau all my life, and full knowing the politics the contract will be given to MSG. They smartly paired of with Rechler builders who is responsible for most of the corporate buildings on the island. Scott Rechler also brings the political pull . They also will bring the Minor league hockey,Liberty (WNBA) Knicks D league team and indoor lacrosse as tenants.
I also believe Wang will sell once they are in Brooklyn and will bring a second minor team (Bridgeport) to Suffolk County section of Long Island. So will won't be without hockey for too long and then will have too much.
I'm more and more optimistic that Okposo (and Bailey) can have a breakout season. Slow starts and poor conditioning have always been the issue I think, and this gives me a bit of hope: http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey...ound-1.6078916
Some highlights:
"And both of the former first-round picks have had slow starts, as well. Okposo changed his off-ice regimen toward the end of last season and tried some new things this summer.
Coach's quote: "You didn't really know what to expect with the shortened season last year, but guys had a good summer of training...."
"Okposo declined to get into specifics about his adjustments but said there was a noticeable difference in his game."
I wouldn't draft expecting more production, but I'd draft him with a bit more optimism and ahead of some guys that offer the same level of production.

Can I get an update on Okposo?
C'mon...you know he's going to break everyone's hearts....again!
It's only been two games, but Okposo looks nothing like he did to end last year and through the playoffs. Tavares set him up in the offensive zone countless times last night and most them ended with with nothing - except with play going back the other way. He is in a prime spot to produce, but he has failed on the top line before. It's early, but the Isles have some depth now and options to move bodies around if need be, so you have to think he will need to play better fairly soon to keep Capuano's confidence up.
