Just got a report that Duncan Keith fought and pounded Ben Smith in a fight at a team scrimmage today. Seriously?
Teravainen turning heads at camp. So far so good in his switch from wing to center.

if your not already watching. Here is the live feed for tonight's scrimmage. http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/page....id=DL|CHI|home
Hawks make their first cuts. Find out who here. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/blac...st-roster-cuts
Hossa to miss four preseason games due to UBI. Hopefully this does not trickle over into the regular season.

How is Clendening looking so far?
Points only keeper league
7 teams
28 keepers
Weekly line up: 12 F / 6 D / 2 G
Goalie stats: W=2 / SO=2
Not hearing a lot about Clendening. Didn't watch the game last night but none of the reports I read are saying much about him. Guess he did have some time QBing the PP. Unless there are injuries, he's not going to get much playing time this year maybe if/when Oduya and Leddy are moved. Hawks blue line is very strong 1-6.

Has anyone got any info on Brandon Pirri? I know he's injured but not sure if he's been sent down or what's going on with him.

Not looking good for Pirri. There are only 3 forward spots available and it's going to be tough to beat out Smith, Morin, and Hayes. And with Pirri's injury, he is not getting the chance. Plus, Leblanc is looking decent and TT is so close to being ready but the Hawks have no reason to rush him. TT has impressed tremendously during camp. Maybe if Hossa is out for an extended amount of time, Pirri takes a center spot with Saad and Shaw hitting the wings. I could easily see Pirri getting traded at some point.

Pirri is very much in the mix. His injury isn't serious and will get some preseason games under his belt soon. Pirri probably gets phased into the fold more down the road this season and not so much at the begining of the season.
So far Saad has been pretty much horrible at the dot so far, so I do not forsee his services used as a center unless he improves his FO's. He's still gonna get his chance, but IMO it's not his spot.

Hope you're right. I was hoping Pirri would claim the #2 C spot but Q barely mentions him in interviews and the Saad experiment definitely shows a lack of confidence in Pirri. I just don't see where Pirri fits in long term. Reports are that his defense is not good enough for a 3rd line role and TT looks to be the answer as the #2 center. With Danault and McNeil ideal for the lower lines and a year or two away, Pirri is great trade bait for the Hawks if he can't stick and make an impact this year.

As I mentioned on my thread post on 9/20.

It appears the experiment of moving #Blackhawks' Brandon Saad from wing to center is over.
