Guentzel would be a good selection. A few others you could go with are:

Bogdan Yakimov - Big, skilled, but Russian factor.

Mattias Janmark-Nylen - Overager, but had a pretty solid year considering how bad his team was. 2nd on the team in scoring with 31 points in 55 games.

Myles Bell - Another older draftee, but his first year as a winger in the WHL was pretty good.

Yakimov had already said in an interview that he will move to play in North America after his current contract ends in a year. Yakimov would probably be my choice.

Then an off the board choice could also be Sergey Tolchinsky, who has impressed both the Rangers and the Hurricanes in their dev camps as an undrafted invitee. He'll very likely sign somewhere in the fall.

Tobias Lindberg looked pretty at Sens camp in comparison to other prospects. Don't know anything about him other than he's big and skates well.

Blaine Byron is another one who I thought was a sleeper going into the draft. Two-way centre out of the CCHL going to Maine next year. Project.

Chris Clapperton - round 5 to Florida - definitely your best option this late. Best offensive upside by far. Surprised he isn't taken in a draft like this yet.
Jackson Houck - round 4 to Edmonton - Led the Vancouver Giants in his draft year.
Cole Ully - round 5 to Dallas - Should put up better numbers next year with the departure of Colin Smith, JC Lipon, and Brendan Ranford. Plays for Kamloops.
Sean Malone - round 6 to Buffalo - Committed to Harvard next year. NCAA route. Won silver at U18 for USA playing a bottom 6 role.
Nicholas Baptiste - round 3 to Buffalo - 17 yeard old, 6'1, 200 lbs....won gold at the U18 for Canada playing an important part.
Luke Johnson - round 5 to Chicago - NHL bloodlines. USHL top prospect, committed to North Dakota for the next couple years.

    In that order.

Based on your list Vanelli still seems to be available. Supposed to be one of the better risk/reward offensive D.

Let us know how the draft goes, and what you ended up going with.

    Good luck.

My money is in with Bogdan Yakimov. Big, skilled winger whose Russian factor may have had a lot to do with him being undervalued; however, young power forward types can be VERY valuable.

    Cheers.
