He's not a Top 6 forward but I think Paajarvi for Wiercioch might make sense for both teams.
I'd be thrilled to add Wiercioch to our team...kid has size and skills

I agree...if only we were the GMs for our respective teams!

Eberle is the only one of the "big 4" that has even a remote chance of being traded, and if it were me I'd be all over it. I doubt it happens though. RNH/Hall/Yakupov have zero chance at all of being moved.
As much as I love the guy for sticking it out with the team through thick and thin... we just might have to trade Hemsky to fill the holes.

I'd love to see Edmonton trade Yakupov, but I think they will instead deal players like Gagner, Hemsky, MPS, and hopefully the first round pick also.
How about this?
Yakupov, Hemsky, 1st
for
Yandle, Hanzal
I know I'm dreaming, but it is fun to play armchair GM.

Yakupov is already showing glimpses of just how good he is going to be, and only Hall rivals him on the team in terms of his desire to win and play hard. He won't be traded.
Gagner and Hemsky seem to be the obvious guys, with much of the bottom 6 being cleared out as well.
My hunch (and totally hunch) is that the Oilers will move a bunch of guys in trades that appear to be "losses" in order to move in some guys that play the game differently. I don't think most Oiler fans are going to like it.
Eberle maybe gets traded if the Oilers can bring in a higher end defenseman back, but I'd be shocked if it actually happened.
But who knows. Maybe things will go totally differently. The quality of hockey in Edmonton right now (at the NHL level) is simply atrocious. I'm none too happy with things, but at least the team made SOME kind of move to show that they are not happy with it either.
Whether it pans out or not I have no idea. I've decided to just not take it personally if the team continues to be horrible for the rest of time and in the mean time I'll cheer for the Capitals and Ovechkin!

I assume that means you're not a fan of Washington and/or Ovechkin...hahah.
The Capitals have been around a long time and never won either. Come on!
To each their own though. I wouldn't mind seeing the Islanders do well either, as their team and fans have been through a similar situation as Oiler fans.
you Oiler fans hop on to the Sens badnwagon. I know you don't care for the Nucks, Leafs, or Habs.
