Yeah...40 Fan pts last night... instantly vaulted him into Fantasy Relevance in my league...a mere 40 or so fan pts behind the leader of the Norris Race (Letang who's injured).
As my league has cash prizes for Norris (and others), I figured this was a prudent pick up for the remainder of the season.
So burnt my last waiver pick...what hurts a bit is that I drafted Gonch...dropped him for a young tender I never used, and picked back up again.
But happy to take a chance on him (also landed Beauch a few weeks ago). Hey...I'm in a dead heat for any of the top 3 spots...may as well add some hot fire power which may also give me a shot at a perifpheral cash payout.
Go gettum Gonch...and hell...feel free to get traded to the Pens too if you want.
**** me...I took a gamble and played Nabokov this week in my H2H and when the Islanders were up I thought I'd be ok...Freakin' Sens. I hate how well they've been playing this year.
No way MacLean doesn't win the Jack Adams this year. No one else is even close.

....and now Methot is injured, but this team just keeps on going.
It's almost like Burgess Meredith is behind McLean, saying "They think you're one-time lucky bums! Well, now, I don't, I don't wanna get mad, in a biblical place like this, but I think you're a hell of a lot more than that, kids. A hell of a lot!"
I love this team. Get well soon EK.

Well, things have finally settled down a bit with our 1st baby, so let's get back into this.
It seems the Sens are close to signing Ottawa the huge 6'5" 230lbs power-forward Buddy Robinson from Lake Superior State.
I need to check a bunch of things with the deadline coming up, first things first, I think the Sens are at the 50 contract limit right now.
Go Sens go.
If anyone wants to purchase my first row seats for the Rangers game on Thursday, let me know. With the excitement of our first-born, I totally forgot that I hadn't sold this game yet. $80 each. PM me for details. Haha.
No chat in here for 5 days??? What the ?!?!
And just like that, as of 4 minutes ago, the Sens have indeed signed Buddy Robinson!
Welcome to the Ottawa organization!
Hey notch, congrats. Speaking of college prospects, I am wondering if Jeff Costello from Notre Dame is still on the teams radar. Playing top line there and looking good. I played with him in HS and never knew anyone with such good balance. Two-way guy with definite offensive upside (reminds me of Z.Smith in a way). I see Costello as a complete value play for his initial contract and knew he was drafted by the SENS.

Thanks Bro, means a lot especially after 3 miscarriages and a bunch of other things.
On Costello, I'm not sure. His Irish won the CCHA Title on Saturday and he is a Bryan Murray draftee and that means more than it does for other GM's. I know he has a hard time staying healthy and haven't heard much else other than how good he was this season when healthy.
Looking at next year already, it depends on which contracts slide, who stays in Junior, but the Sens are going to need to drop about 4 contracts as it is to stay at 50 or below. Things are getting crowded. Bryan Murray is the guy I trust though. Not sure how many free assets Murray can sign through the College route unless some more contracts slide once again. SO tough to try and figure out right now. I know these contracts don't count this year, I'm looking ahead once again.
Congratulations to you and your wife Notch.
I really wish I could take you up on those seats. I just found out the Sens are playing a preseason game in Saskatoon next September, so that will likely be the next time I see them.
I just traded Cory Conacher for Silfverberg, so I'm happy. Any word on when Spezza will be back?
