I'm rolling with Nail. Its just a matter of time before he gets back up into the top 6 and hitting his stride.
Nail Yakupov
Alex Galchenyuk
UH OH! It's the semifinals of the Cage Match Rookie Tournament!
If you've missed the action so far do not fret because you can still decide which of these two gets to move on to the final.
The criteria for you to vote on are simple:
- No goalies
- No defensemen
- No positions
- Points only keeper league with one caveat - Don't be a perpetually rebuilding knucklehead. No one has ever won a fantasy league with just potential so value this season ABSOLUTELY matters. I cannot stress this enough.
Vote your hearts out!
#1 Jonathan Huberdeau vs. #2 Vladimir Tarasenko

I'm going with Yakupov's upside too. I think it's pretty telling that everyone are saying that Galchenyuk has had an amazing start to his NHL career (in which they are right) while Yakupov hasn't been getting the same recognition. Then you look at stats and see Galchenyuk having one point more than Yakupov has!

I went with Gally. The homer-ness broke the tie for me. I just look at Gal's lesser ice time both overall and on the PP and think he has a lot more to offer in the short-term. At some point he will bust through the depth chart and be on the top line.

This was tough, but I'm surprised Gally's winning. Personally I feel like Gally could end up the best player from the draft, but for now I've gotta stick with who went #1 overall just 20 games ago. If Yak had been completely struggling then maybe I think about it, but he's been just fine. I especially prefer Yak this year.

Anyone with a brain would take Yaks to win the tourney.
As I said in previous polls, many of those voting in these things don't really put much thought into it. They'll go by current stats or just click whatever so they can see the pretty charts.
It is pretty baffling that Gally is winning this one... there must be a lot of Montrealers on this forum.
