(REP) Dougie Hamilton vs Braden Holtby
League is in sig. Goalie stats are important (5/12). I know Dougie will be one of the best in a few years. Is he worth trading for Holtby.

As of now, Fleury is the only reliable G I have. Bryz gets wins and saves, but his GAA, SO and SV% are horrendous.
Elliot has been bad, Mason is a big question mark in the future, and Enroth is unproven.

Hamilton will be real good and Enroth could be as valuable if not more than Holtby down the road. Holtby is far from securing any starting job and Miller is struggling in Buffalo (maybe a change of scenary on the horizon?)

If I may add; having 2 quality starters in MAF and Bryz in a 16 team league is a huge bonus. Elliott can only get better and Mason could go either way. Enroth was a valuable prospect and will continue to develop so I would hold on to him for now. Stand put, or at least don't pull the trigger on this particular trade offer.

I would keep Dougie. Holtby to me is ok goalie nothing to great, below avg. Capitals are a mess as a team. If you do a trade for a goalie get something that will be worth it. IMO

It could bite you in the ass, but a goalie can help you more than a D. Holtby is definitely the better short term play, and if Holtby can cement himself as starter than he'll be better than Hamilton even if Hamilton manages to put up 40+ points. Holtby is more of a risky play in terms of future, and in terms of win now he's the better option. Hamilton is the safer future stud D.
Even as a starter, Holtby is far from being decent this year... I would not want his stats to mess up Fleury and Bryz's numbers!Originally Posted by Essej
