I watched the last game against the Rangers and Okposo didn't look too good. Standing around, not hitting, not digging in the corners, not doing anything really. This is the second game I've seen him in and he didn't stand out that game either. Looking at his stats to date as well, it's looking more and more like he may be in for another disappointing year.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

What are your thoughts on Hamonic's value now that Visnovsky is back? Just checked that he had only 34 seconds of PP time yesterday, whereas Visnovsky had over 4 minutes. Do you foresee this continuing or will Hamonic still get adequate PP opportunity? He's solid in peripherals but if this limits him offensively going forward then it could be a big hit in value.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Can someone provide some insight into Visnovsky's future?
I have an offer for him, but I really thought he was going to play out his last contract year, then return home and call it a career in the NHL.
Is this true, or will he be back in the NHL for the next couple of years? I'm really not interested in getting ONLY his last 30 games if I make a move for him.
Any insight really appreciated, as I can't find much info.
Thanks!

teams are always looking for offensive d-men and Visnovsky still looks like he has some gas left in the tank .
I have no idea if he plans to use that gas in europe or NHL though
I'd also like to think he ends up resigning with the isles , like Nabokov did .
Nabby had an entire season to get used to living on long island though .

''The New York Islanders appear to have started a new effort to find a buyer, The Post has learned.
Owner Charles Wang has been in talks with The Raine Group, a Manhattan investment bank, regarding the sale of the money-losing team, two sources said.''
Has anyone heard anything about Matt Donovan?
The common consensus on the boards was that he was going to be on the opening night roster...
Since opening night, the Isles have played Vishnovsky, Strait, and for some reason, picked up and played Hickey over Donovan.
Any insight would be appreciated.

He probably would have made the team out of camp had there been a normal season .
the lockout , the rushed mini camp , the quick pik ups during mini camp of Finley,Hickey,Strait,Martinek etc.. sealed his fate .
might see him get the call if the injury bug hits hard or if they make a trade or two .
as of today theres 2 d-men a night in the isles pressbox + their 6 starters .
Gotta really work on his defensive game.
Last night, playing for the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Rick DiPietro allows 5 goals on 12 shots and is pulled after the first period. Ouch.

Cappy: Nielsen may be back at the point on the PP for Visnovsky. Our PP was really good early on & we were thinking about it anyway. #Isles
