This is a very tough answer short-term but I certainly prefer Varly long-term. I see Colorado likely improving as Lando develops while the Senators face an uncertain future after Alfie retires, as Spez is not yet proven as a franchise leader.
Short-term, I feel like Varlamov has more talent but the team in front of him isn't so great. Their offense is anemic but they are still finding ways to win. Plus, Ottawa is weak up front too. If I had to pick a guy overall, short and long term, it'd be Varly.
