We talkin' bout practice
For any Roy owners who may have to do lineup changes tonight (like myself)...monitor what happens with the game this evening:
Derek Roy missed Friday and Saturday's practices after absorbing a late hit on Tuesday.
Roy was still able to play in Thursday's contest, but his status for Saturday's game remains unknown. We'll err on the side of caution and list him as day-to-day for now.

Just saw this tweet....
Nothing official just yet.....Mark Stepneski @StarsInsideEdge
Ray Whitney on the ice for warmups, don't see Derek Roy.
Your beer mug isn't half-empty, your just half-way to the next refill.....
Roy was not listed among the forwards who were on ice for warmups. Time to pull him from your starting lineups poolies.
Edit: It's official Roy(groin) is out.

Here comes the groin injury parade. I'm expecting this forum to fill up in the next week with groin injuries.

Kind of silly to ask that question without providing alternatives or any other details that are obviously needed to give a well-informed answer.
Roy is honestly so frustrating to own. Last year I had him and managed to unload him in a package for David Backes...and I thought that maybe this year would be different...especially with the change of scenery. I know the season has only just begun but I'm already getting deja vu.
bondon....don't even get me going.
I endured his crappy year last year too. I had to choose between him and Kesler to protect at season's end. I chose Kesler. When the injury news on Kes hit during the lockout, I had an opportunity to change my protected list. I heard all the reports about how happy and healthy he was in the big D....and then this.....right of the bat.....deja vu all over again.
maybe we should start a "Derek Roy is a douche thread?"
The one on Mike Green is going strong.
I fel your pain.

I got either Burrows (LA-Col-Chi) - Tanguay (Col-Chi) - Tarasenko (CLS-DET).
I am thinking of going with Tarasenko....its sux bcs Benn was coming back and Dallas was playing 4 games this week.
Derek Roy - C - Stars Derek Roy (groin) is questionable for Monday's contest against Columbus.
Roy played on Thursday despite suffering the injury Tuesday but was unable to go on Saturday. He has two assists and if he is able to go, he could see Jamie Benn on his wing, if Benn is able to get his work visa in time. Roy's fantasy value will get a bump with Benn on his wing as Benn is one of the better players in the NHL.

Roy did not make the roadtrip with Dallas....so he obviously won't be playing tonight in Columbus.
