Ellis or Anderson?

Anderson for sure. Ottawa playing lose and lots of hungry players looking to impress; Anderson at the top of the list.

I kind of see Anderson as a very poor man's Vokoun this year.

Playing on a team with not a lot of veteran presence and a lot of young players, will pour out decent percentages as long as he doesn't implode like the beginning of the season.

After deciphering the sentences it sounds like you need a goalie and you're choosing between Anderson, Ellis and Holtby.

If that's right then I would definitely put Anderson on top by a mile. I think Holtby is worth taking a chance on but you'll have to keep an eye on the WAS situation as he's by no means a lock to stay on the team. Ellis is awful, period.

Don't forget, Ottawa was the worst team in hockey...without Anderson. He's been solid since getting there and we already know he is the real deal. Seems like there was something in the water in Colorado this year. Everyone who is getting out of there is now back to their normal selves - Anderson, C.Stewart, etc. Ellis is on a decent Anaheim team and so he'll get some wins while he plays but IMO he's playing over his own head right now. And while it could be some time before Hiller comes back, it could also be only a handful of days. Anderson's a guaranteed #1 guy, while Ellis is a fill-in (even if it is for the rest of the season). Don't forget, Anderson is a UFA this summer and there's a good chance he'll sign elsewhere. So if keeping either is part of your decision, I'd go with Anderson hands down. But even if it's not an issue for you, I think I'd still go with Anderson.

Once Holtby loses a game (even 1-0 or 2-1) we'll see Neuvirth again so I wouldn't bank on him for anything except maybe a start tomorrow night.
