I washed my hands of him a couple weeks ago. The waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat thing has started to die down. Buff is apparently out with a LBI though so there might be one more reason to shelf him. Anyway, I don't want to talk about it anymore. The pain is still too fresh.

I don't know. The Thrashers system is a goalies worst nightmare. I for one didn't expect Pavelec to remain as hot as he was a few months ago when facing all those shots per night. He's not top tier level yet. I would not start Pavelec because the Thrashers defense isn't assuring, nor is the system, or way they play it.
Byfuglien is out as well, leaving rookie Paul Postma to make his NHL debut! Hopefully he is another 7th round steal!
