I'm speechless. This game wasn't close despite score. Hawks got 2 fluke goals. Forsberg made it close.

What a reaction by Zaits tho. It was like the instant he saw Kaner just stare at the puck he jumped.

I loved how Matthews seemed to go, "ok this is done give me the puck" at the end of the 1st, beginning of the 2nd. He took over shifts at a time.

The team that going into the game were outscoring teams 17-2 or somethign like that? They look a lot different then what I remember they were like last yr.

Was Forsberg tho in net, but he kept them in it a ton. So can't blame the loss on their backup goalie.

Forsberg was awesome for the Hawks, no doubt about it.

It looked to me like the Hawks player changing for Kane was not on the ice before the puck hit his skate - so technically Kane would still be allowed to touch the puck. At least that is how I saw it.

A well-deserved win anyway - AM is incredible and Hyman seems to be playing with more confidence this year as well. What a line! Love seeing Brown do his thing out there as well - late round gem!

I was initially pissed off about that too (like everyone else in the arena) but I think the rule is that he can touch it as long as nobody on their team plays it after him. Kinda like a delayed offside I suppose...

    The TMM Rule:
If either the player entering, or the player exiting, plays the puck while the other is on the ice, the penalty is called. If the incoming or outgoing player is accidentally struck by the puck, it is not an infraction. In the NHL, substitution is allowed when the outgoing player is within 5 feet (1.5 m) of their bench

He didn't play it on purpose if I remember correctly. It just hit him.

Actually watching the hawks this year has been refreshing. I think the first rd exit last year has really helped them this year. All those long playoffs Keith playing 30+mins per game took it's toll.
The young Leafs just have too much skill speed and energy.

Funny but tonight will be a big test for the leafs.

Should win easily but there's the matter of taking the Devils for granted.

If they lose today does that mean they turn into that kind of team?

Why should they win easily? There are no easy wins with league parity nowadays
