i think he'll go to dallas for a bad contract like hemsky and a prospect like ritchie as the main pieces.

edmonton might but i think theyd want the leafs to retain salary

I wouldn’t put a lot of energy hating that article. It said Lupul’s contract was large. Lupul doesn’t have a large contract anymore. 5.25mill for 3 more yrs isn’t on its own big. It’s bad because of his injury history, but the contract its self isn’t bad.

James Mirtle isn’t that great of a writer, he always makes pretty typical articles. “Why the kings will buyout Richards”, “why the Ducks should look at JvR”, “why the cap must not go up next yr”. It’s easy to hit a target if you’re a foot away.

Nylander has looked really good. Going to be hard to justify someone else over him.

It’s going to be hard to fit everyone in tho.

    Lupul-Kadri-Boyes
    Nylander-Holland-Panik
    Winnik-Spaling-Komarov

Bailey, Grabner, Matthias, Arcobello, Glencross, Leipsic, and Brown all don’t have a spot then. A good bet would be Grabner being on the final roster before Nylander.

I think all the young kids will be with the Marlies....regardless of how they do in camp. Send them all down, let them win and gel together and let them all make the team at the same time.

Holland keeps impressing me. Great on the backcheck, great at stripping the puck, always supports the d on the breakout, wins battles...he won't put up points but he's a solid hockey player. Reminds me of Backlund in Calgary.

He’s a great 3C I think. He has the defensive ability to play the 3C role, but enough offensive pop to shift up to 2C if need be.

He’s around still, but haven’t heard his name a whole bunch when watching the one game he’s been in. I see the Nylander and Boyes spot as the open holes right now. Grabner impressed me in his game (looked like he was hustling a lot), and I just like Boyes better than Seto and Glencross. I feel like Boyes would give a little more heart to each game than the others. Glencross’s departure of Calgary was not clean, and he seems like someone I don’t want in that dressing room.

Seto is just damm lazy. Saying that hes probably in the best shape of his career this camp.He said it himself hes playing for his career. There is no doubt the talent is there. The problem has always been desire.
Hopefully he makes a huge comeback.

Not always the best idea for kids to make it at same time. Atleast not in Cap era. All stars making big money at same time can hurt.

Well looks like it’ll be Boyes as the only forward on a PTO to make the team. Should be interesting the next week to see who gets the final slots.

    Question for the LeafNation here:
Fantasy-wise, how do you rank Gardiner, Rielly and Phaneuf on your team this year?
    ES pairings? PP1? PP2?
Projections? (or at least ranking for those 3)
    Thanks!
