Domi won't play Tuesday and likely out Wednesday
McMann out the final 2 games
Jarnkrok not ready to play (practiced today), and is uncertain for Game 1

Injuries are significant in the aspect of what will happen with Matthews. With McMann and and Domi hurt, that leaves 12 'healthy' forwards on their NHL roster. I think they have space for 1 move from the AHL to fill a forward spot. Or you might even see an 11F/7D in the final game.

EF on 32 thoughts:
- Mutual interest between Bertuzzi and Domi staying
- Keefe likely out, Berube the front runner
- Leafs want to extend McCabe
- Shanahan may be out, but won't be replaced by anyone.
- Marner and the team may both be ready to move on.

However he also mentioned maybe JT is bought out which is the DUMBEST take. It saves like $400k over 2yrs, and that doesn't account for the salary of replacing him in the lineup. Dumb click bait like take.

^^ Seems all good stuff I agree on (yes that JT take is DUMB!), but can someone explain what exactly Shanahan deals/responsibilities were and how they 'didn't meet up to expectations?

GM goes to Shanahan to get approval for large moves. Dubas wanted to move Knies+ for Hagel+MAF and Shanahan denied it. There were apparently other moves Dubas wanted to do but Shanahan blocked it. Then I think part of the breakup with Dubas was around Dubas wanting to breakup the core but Shanahan didn't and blocked it.

So Shanahan does have a hand in this IF these are true. Because he is involved with the roster construction (if true again).

So if the ne MLSE CEO thinks to breakup the core and Shanahan is like "no", well bye.
