Apparently, Sergei Samsanov is going to tryout with the Sharks. He could potentially make at least a decent 3rd line guy for some potential scoring, but he didn't play last year. I'm not sure where he played last year. I'll check that out.

I went looking around and I found no evidence that he played anywhere. So maybe he just played in some beer leagues or something.

I just wanted to do an update here.

I saw on the ramblings and I saw it the other day about people and if the cap drops what happens with Clowe. Here's something people can think about. The NHl has been opting to do a buyout that wouldn't count against the cap. Havlat is most likely the guy that would happen to. Plus, Almost all of their big players, Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Couture, and Boyle's contract expire after the 2013/2014 season. So they could realistically trade one of these guys and keep Clowe longterm. So just wanted to throw in my 2 cents there folks. I highly doubt that Clowe is the one in question.

The Sharks have signed Scott Gomez, but he won't be suiting up tonight against PHO. I'm going to make sure I see the game, so hopefully I have some insight. I'm bummed I miss the desolation of the Oilers.

What a fun game. It's always great watching them beat PHO, which hardly happened in the past couple seasons. They battled and good lord is Marleau looking like a different player. He's showing more emotion and more importantly he's scoring like none other. He looks like he's playing with a chip on his shoulder and I'm loving it. I've been a big advocate of trading him and now it's hard to say that.

I'm thinking this is the best shot the Sharks have ( I know I say this every year). Here's why, The season is only 48 games, so once playoff starts, the guys won't realize it and they'll play like it's the regular season and still dominate. Right? Take it to the bank people. Sharks are gonna pull it off finally because they won't know better that it's time to tank.

In all seriousness, they got behind in the third and just came on and fought for the win and it was an absolute pleasure to watch.

I have marleau and he has always been good but this year it seems like that line with pavelski is taking the next step. Great to see!! I think that chip as u said is there bc someone ranked in him this summer. Wasnt it roenick or somethig that wrote in his book or blog that the guy just has no heart and he wished that marleau had his heart and he had marleaus skill.

Probably showing that it isn't true lets hope it continues.

I could see the Sharks making the Final, especially if they don't realize they're in the playoffs like tgraveline says...

Sharks look like midseason form right now. Not sure if they can keep it up throughout the season and playoffs, but wow they look good.

Funny I said to my friend that this will be the year the Sharks win it. Finally pull our collective fingers out and win the damn thing, and it'll forever have an asterix next to it because of the shortened season!
