Interesting comments on Roy and ROR. I know Tim Murray absolutely has ROR in his sights as this deadline approaches, and would love to have him in a Sabres sweater.

P7 Right?: 11. It looks like there will be a changing of the guard in goal for the Sharks.
I've been calling this one as I think Niemi is simply old enough where HE has decided that he'd like a change of location.
And obviously the Sharks need to appear to make a change of player personnel if they can't get it done this year... and are outside the playoffs right now.
Similar to how the Kovalchuk situation went his final year in ATL...

I firmly believe Niemi/SJ have come to an agreement to part ways.
It's one of those inside things between player/GM/coach and all play-it the way they are supposed to... with the "We'd like to re-sign him..." / "I'd like to re-sign..." game.
Kovalchuk said it all year.
Parise said it all year.
They were still as good as gone in my books.

P7 Wrong?: 3. Keep an eye on Washington. GM Brian MacLellan said last weekend he will not trade Mike Green for picks or prospects...
I was certain this off-season that Green would not be a Capital on July 1st, 2015... and I'm pretty sure I'd said he'd be dealt pre-deadline as the Caps have RH-Dmen in Niskanen & Carlson.
I'll say this... everytime I watch the Caps PP, I realize how PERFECT Mike Green slides pucks into the Ovechkin wheelhouse.
It's just one small skill, but it may be one of THE most important pieces to the Capital PP.
A guy that can put a puck PERFECTLY in Ovechkin's wheelhouse... you just can't take that away when that PP is working so well.
