I enjoy getting a chance to read about coaches/players and their feelings on things like bad line changes and how they carry themselves.
I've played with too many primadonna wingers over the years that couldn't backcheck to save their own lives... and they'll shift off late and maybe not get the minus they deserve.
Good that some coaches rant about that and that some writers cover it.
The stuff never makes it to headlines and too many casual hockey fans have no clue about these things.
In my world, giving up a goal has the same value as creating one... and many people don't truly think about that. (which is why I'm so steadfast for +/- and Corsi and relative difference of good vs. bad)
Coaches catch these things and it drives them crazy. Which is good. I like a coaches viewpoint and I like to see EF dig on what event miffed the coach.

I thought you had to trade for Stamkos prior to TDD in order to offer him 8 years? In this article he says a team could trade for him prior to the draft to give him 8 years...so confused.

Some really good stuff in this one as usual. I'm just a lousy casual so most of it is probably way over my head but when they use small words I can generally understand enough.

Perhaps if he can still be traded to a team before his current contract runs out? So to a team that wants him still but then couldn't use him in the postseason? Not sure. It's a little convoluted for me,
