    Default Stalock

Where do you guys see him going over the next year or two?

I've got him in my farm at the moment and he'll be kept, but I've just got no idea where he sits. He hasn't been as strong in the AHL this year as last (which I kind of expected him to do), but he's still playing well enough as their #1.
Above him you've got Nitty on a 2 yr deal, Niemi on a 1yr deal and the spectre of Nabby now floating around (I don't see him winding up with the Sharks again, but they did put a claim in, so you never know), and Greiss is in... Germany? I think it's safe to say he's done with though.

So he's got 2 guys above him, but the Sharks are a real mess in goal and defence this year. Do you think both Nitty and Niemi will be back next year? Will one get moved and Stalock backup?

    I dunno.

Greiss is actually playing in Sweden.

Stalock just got called up while Niitty is on the IR. I don't expect him to get any starts, but it looks like he is just filling in until Niitty returns after the All Star break.

Although Stalock doesn't quite have the numbers in the AHL this year and he is behind both Niemi and Niitty, he is absolutely the Sharks goalie of the future.

I can see the Sharks holding onto Niemi for the 11-12 season, and eventually releasing Niitty, with Stalock waiting in the wings.

I can't find a reference to the callup for Stalock. Anyone read it somewhere?

I'm pretty sure they recalled Anderson because Stalock was injured as well. Don't know where he got that info from either.

Stalock call up confirmed by Dobber in the ramblings.

Yeah, I saw that in the ramblings... I was just looking for the source.

I did find this article about JP Anderson being sent down:

So, it would make sense the Stalock would come up to be the backup.

The ramblings do not cite sources so although they are very good reference, I do not take this as the final word. Case in point, Dobber said that NJ was going to put in a claim for Nabby the day that Nabby was placed on waivers.

As far as I can tell, he has not been called up yet but he is expected to be called up for tomorrows game

To be fair, this is from yesterday.

That's a good reference. I just wonder why their taking so long to report it.

Maybe Stalock hung up on Wlson because he wanted to go to Detriot?

    That's exactly the way I feel, I couldn't agree more Jurgy25.

I'm not familiar with Stalock at all. So he is most likely the future of the Sharks? I'll have to make a note of that.

This is pretty close to what I felt, but it's nice to get some confirmation on things at times. Make sure I'm not barking up the wrong bush.

While I'm on it, I've also got Irving in my fold...
