I like him for 70, or maybe just a smidge under.

I think he will be consistently around 67-72 for the next few years... and that he will flirt with 80 once in the next 5 years.

Straight up Winnipeg would want Gostisbehere or Provorov and Hextall is too patient to make a move like that. They're both high end cost controlled players compared to Trouba who is asking for what, $6mill or something?

I could see an offer being made with Sanheim or Morin but not sure what would need to be added. On top of that the Flyers would be well over the cap after signing Trouba also. Damn your contract MacDonald!

I would like to see him on the team, would be awesome, I'm just not sure the caproom or will to move Provo/Ghost is there to get it done.

I'm not sure I'd be happy with Ghost for Trouba. I would like to get our grubby mitts on Trouba though. I wonder if they would take Sanheim in a package deal.

What is holding us back from buyin gout MacDonald's contract. I think we save like 3m if we do that.

I think once Gostisbehere's contract comes up, he will be asking for more then what Trouba is going to get..

    Manitoba does love Provorov!!

Agreed. Flyers have a ton of young, great defensive prospects like Provorov, Morin, Sanheim

Surprised there is so little talk of Provorov and Konecny's outstanding camps on here!

These two are going to be absolute studs.

Exciting times for PHI and their fans.

Konecny looks good but not sure he'll ever qualify as a stud. He is looking like a Brendan Gallagher type of player (which is good) but has durability concerns. I don't super high upside here.

I am quite excited. Was Konecny not drafted around the same spot as Giroux? And are they not similar size? Maybe we have another Giroux on our hands... would that not be great! I'll drink to that!

When Giroux was a 19 year old did you foresee him becoming the star he was? Probably not... not many did... he was going to be the 2nd line center behind Mike Richards and Jeff Carter for his career.

Giroux plays a gritty game... so does Konecny. both put up 100 point seasons in junior... Konecny did it in the so-called harder league to score in of the OHL in comparison to the Q
