How is Philly only winning 3-2 despite having 6 opportunities on the PP? And what's with the brutal turnovers leading to goals against. First one a stupid turnover by Voracek in his own zone after he tried to use fancy moves to get around a guy one on one, then Briere goes off the ice while the puck is hemmed in his own zone, and then NOBODY REPLACES Briere on the ice leaving the Flyers a man down.

Then Giroux with a stupid turnover in the opposing blueline leading to a short handed goal.

And I get that Bryzgalov is getting hung out to dry on a lot of goals but it's hilarious watching his feeble attempts to make saves when there is pressure on him. The fact is if this guy is gonna be paid 7M a year he should be able to make a few big time stops when his team does leave him out to dry. I'm tired of defending him.

In case you're wondering, the reason why I'm so frickin frustrated is because Bryzgalov just singlehandedly lost me my goalie %s this week. Wish he'd just get hurt and put me out of my misery.

Dude, you are the goalie killer, you should be punting your goalie stats. Drop all of your tenders. All other owners will rejoice as he returns to his Phoenix numbers

I have to stop watching this team play. It's infuriating.

I don't know how you Flyers fans put up with this shit. For a team that is supposed to have solid depth at F, it seems like every night there's one or two guys that just blow chunks.

It would help if Bryzgalov could make a ****ing save.

    Tonight is Matt Read.

    Default Buy Outs

Does anyone have any insight on what the Flyers going to do in the offseason with buy outs... I think the 2 prime guys are Briere and Bryz

I think Briere is all but guarentee to get bought out huge cap hit his production has really dropped off and it wont cost very much... I think with Schenn and Couturier in the line up makes Briere redondant... What we need is defense

Bryz is the tough one if they buy him out than its a huge amount of money that they have to pay out... It also makes us look like total jokes as well for signing that contact... I dont think it has all been his fault this year its been the D but its not like bryz has stood on his head to earn his contract either

Love to hear your guys thoughts

I was just doing a little day dreaming over at CapGeek and put this roster together. It would pay Streit $5.5 mill per season, don't think he's worth that price but he'll get it. It would have Handzus sign with the team for his current level of pay and involve the acquisition of Miller, don't know what that would take but the 11th pick would be gone plus Sniders first born child . Briere and Bryz get bought out and the team keeps some depth while having just over $1.5 mill in remaining cap space.

I would personally LOVE to see this unit play next season so make it happen Homer!

good looking roster...and it isn't beyond the realm of possibility...looking beyond this coming season, though, they'd still be in a lot of cap trouble with Giroux and other key players becoming RFAs. Giroux will command a deal with an $8 million cap hit. I have no idea how they are going to fit that in, let alone the new cap hits for players like Schenn, Couturier, and Read.

I give this lineup my full endorsement. It would be good to see Zus in orange and black again.

Somebody would have to be traded out of that lineup to get Miller though. I'd be happy if it was only Laughto, but I expect it would take Schenn or Couturier. I would rather trade Schenn than Couturier.

I have a feeling that the cap is going to take a substantial jump up for the 2014-15 season and if you take Timonen's $6 mill hit off of the roster I believe there will be enough money to go around for G, B Schenn, and Couturier. You just know that the Flyers will be up against the cap whatever it may be. Read may have to get moved but I also figure that Gustafsson will be able to come in at a reasonable salary to cover for the loss of Kimmo.

Ed: I just remembered that Mezaros and his $4 mill cap hit will be off the books next season also, there are going to be options!

I was thinking maybe Laughton or Read could go in a Miller deal. The man is a super valuable piece for the Sabres but with one season left under contract and the team being in a shambles I really think Miller will get moved for some assets.

I think it would be pretty cool to see Handzus back with the team also. They've brought back so many guys like Knuble, Fedotenko, Gagne, Boucher back in the past season or two, he'd fit right back in and be such a great pivot to solidify the 3rd line. Heck, maybe we'll see Gagne return at a reduced rate also, I was happy to see him back with the team
