    Default Post your trades here!

    Hey guys.

I will be happy to answer all your trade questions.
It might say I'm a "Fantasy Hockey Sophomore" but I know much more than I'm letting on. I only joined this past summer, should have joined years ago.

Happy to be the first customer!! Thanks

I get: Paul Martin and Simon Gagne
I give: Dan Boyle and Bryan Little

My take: IF Martin stays on the top PP, he is gold and 5 years younger. Gagne is a risk, but obviously an upgrade over Little. Keeper league but hoping to contend this year. Martin's lack of offensive jam (career high of 6 goals??) is really making me leery though. I may be better off keeping the better D and looking elsewhere for scoring.

I think you're definitely better off keeping what you have. Here is how I break this trade down.
Boyle is off to a slow start but he seems to have a few good years left in him, I think you should explore getting Martin along with a bigger upgrade for Danny Boyle. Bryan Little long term is much better than Gagne too, who I am against in all leagues just like Iginla.
In the end, keep what you have.

For me, this is simply a no. When you think of how much you're giving up as opposed to how much you're getting. Berglund is the best long term player in that trade and Marcus Johansson is talented but will be greatly limited with Backstrom on the first line there. Also in the second trade I would say Hedman is by far the best player and Stoll is good for about 60 points, probably more than Miettinen. Keep what you have here. This is also a very deep league so that second round prospect pick can't be worth too much here.

Far as I can tell, neither rep nor number of posts has much to do with the quality of any member's advice, but I think this thread is pretty presumptuous. Sounds like you're indicating that members would be better off coming to you and getting your advice only than posting trades on their own threads and getting input from multiple members, including you.

Again, that you're a "sophomore" doesn't make me doubt your hockey acumen one iota, but I think the established system we have here for seeking advice is pretty tried and true.

It seems already that Caddy and loco man would disagree with me, but that's my two cents.

I would take that for sure because chances are you have a shot at turning that 2nd round pick into an Enstrom and Pronger will hit 40-50 points for at least 2 more years. This is also a very smart buy low to get Tyler Myers. Well done

    NO NO NO

    You were doing so well

Edler and Enstrom are both better dmen than Pronger and Myers.

    Edler >>> Myers
    Enstrom >>> Myers

Edler and Enstrom >>> Myers and Pronger

DON'T MAKE THAT DEAL. Especially in a SALARY CAP league where Pronger's hit is only going to get worse as he starts sucking more and more.

Excuse me, I did not see it was a salary cap league. As Dean said, don't do it.

Salary cap or not. BAD DEAL. ENSTROM and EDLER are the top 2 dmen here. Myers is overrated IMO.

I think the fact that people expected him to repeat last years numbers is exactly what makes him overrated, but I think its also the time to buy low in keeper/dynasty leagues. Edler and Enstrom are doing very well for themselves and Pronger's salary in that league would be a huge downer. Maybe he should explore dealing another d-man for Tyler Myers, he seems to have the other owners interest here.
