Alfie to Pittsburgh
As a Sens fan it pains me to say this, but I think the Sens should trade Alfie to Pittsburgh. The guy deserves another chance to put his name on the Cup, and we all know there is room on Crosby's wing. As this article puts it:

Unfortunetly Murray is trying to force this broken team forward. Aflie comes at a fair cap hit, Pittsbrugh would need to move things around, but what a fit that would be.
The classy thing we be to do what Boston did with Bourque. It won't happen because Murray has his reputation invested in Gonchar for 2 more years.
Pittsburgh doesn't have much that they could give Ottawa in return (at least nothing of value). It won't happen...it's not even Alfie's last year. If Alfie was ever gonna get traded it would be in his last season. Even then, the only way Alfie would get traded is for some elite prospects, which Pittsburgh doesn't have.
I don't think Murray really gives two shits about his reputation, it's his last year as GM.

You are right, he is consistent: pointless in seven consecutive games.
Not a Sens fan, but I think Alfie still has a year or two left in him. Of course he has slowed a step, he is 38! Plus I think he is banged up, and trying to carry the team on his back. I can't see him ever playing anywhere else, he is the face of the team. He has always struck me as a fairly classy guy (considering who he plays for! hahaha)...so I wish him no ill will.

Totally agree with you Fungchen...Tangradi was the first name that came to mind when I saw this thread. Ottawa would have to take a contract back due to them being up against the cap.
