Any thoughts on Cossa?
Any thoughts on Cossa?
Turning 21 soon. He'll get the bulk of start for GR and hopefully not regress even further into the ECHL again. The Griffins are loaded with Wings prospects right now so I'm really hoping they have a good team this year. Kasper, Edvinsson, Berggren (will be back up), Elmer, Wallinder, Hanas, Lombardi and eventually Mazur.
Husso is on year 2 of 3 so at best Cossa is backing him up next year. But I even think that would be pushing the development.

....... What is going on.....
This can't be real... Can it?
We knew they were moving along nicely. It’s early but they look good. The Atlantic is chaos right now. I’d love to see them make the playoffs.

To say that Larkin and Debrincat have meshed quite well, is a huge understatement. They're dominating.
They've looked good and have taken advantage of a kind of soft schedule to start to gel together. But the next week and a half/2 weeks will be the first test of the season. Kraken, Jets, Bruins, NYI, Panthers, Bruins, and NYR

Still early but they look good. Love the way the Cat and Lark are meshing too. See if they can keep it going.
Not a great look last night. Blow a 4-0 lead to the Sharks.....
if they miss the playoffs....this one will hurt.
This has been exciting. I'm excited. The team has come together as a group and is working incredibly well together. Top guys are scoring, Lyon has been great, and their bottom six has produced at a pretty solid level.
8-2-1 in January. Tough stretch coming up though. Vegas, Ottawa, Van, Edmonton, Van. Yikes.
There's not back to backs with Ottawa this year though so that has to be a good sign.
Another win against an elite team. What a roll.
Grand Rapids is also streaking. Won 5 straight. Berggren is killing it. Kasper heating up after a slow start.
I don’t get to watch the Wings often - but was watching when Copp scored the eventual winning goal v the Leafs awhile back, and Larkin scoring the OT winner the next game v the Cats. The team reaction in both cases was amazing - I thought right then that, assuming reasonable health, this team is makimg the playoffs no matter what. And I think they’ll be dangerous opponent in the first round whoever they face.
So great to see such a storied O6 franchise re-emerge - and kudos to Stevie Y and the brainy Lalonde.
And I have to say, and it pleases me to no end as an owner, Larkin has taken the reins here, got past (finally) the contract monkey with a solid deal to stay in Motown, and has been a consummate Captain and leader in the mold of his GM. I even think is best scoring days are ahead of him with that high octane offense they are building.

Massive week for the Wings.
13-4-2 in 2024. Huge OT wins vs Seattle and Colorado. Now a weekend vs St Louis and Chicago.
A point up on Tampa with 2 games in hand now.
