I still think the team will try and move RNH and Yak for D help but in the end will probably deal Hall. He's their best trade asset right now and should get them something close to what they truly need.

Any line with Hall on it is automatically a top 2 line. I'd say top line, but they have the luxury of splitting up McDavid and Hall now and that creates two top lines.
He won't get traded for a #3/4 like Fowler, only for a top end guy. No idea if it will happen or not. I'd be okay with it if it did though. Sick and tired of status quo.

Is it just me or isn't Nashville THE natural partner for an Edmonton trade proposal? Hall for Josi or Ekholm? Maybe find a way to add Allard from Nashville too.

Why would Edm want Ellis over Ekholm. They need defence before offence and I've always been of the impression that Ekholm was the better player, defensively.

I have been saying all along that whatever deal the Oilers make is going to make me unhappy on its surface. I'm stunned that the return was SO low for Hall, but I actually don't even care any more. It's a new team, with new guys driving the bus. It looks atrocious to me but hopefully this leads to a better team.
