Sutton has been suspended for 5 games.
Sutton is a dirty player, but damn he was looking good on the back end. He was exactly what we have been missing since the Smith days. Our defence was lacking a tough nosed last pairing dman that makes players think twice about going into the pits and cutting towards the net. I dont respect the hit he laid on Landeskog, but I think with the improved play of Smid/Gilbert and the addition of Sutton our D has got a lot tougher.

Stuck on the 3rd for foreseeable future and the bottom 6 isn't producing. I'd hold tight though.
Ya i would be patient and hold onto MP. He is gonna be huge in a couple of years. Way better pedigree than Smith just in a bad situation ATM. Things change and bodies will get moved around. I know its hard but he will bust out in the next couple of years

Omark sent down and Teubert called up. Sometimes it seems like Omark is really getting the short end of the stick.
personally i dont think he was doing much and whats the use of him sitting upstairs. for me he still has to learn some things before he really becomes an effective player. also the oilers need to move a body or 2 up front to get some help on d. they still have way to many skilled forwards and a lot of capable guys on the farm that can fill in.

Omark just needed to get some ice-time. He's gotta be considered "very expendable" at this point and it doesnt help his trade value if he's sitting. He was tearing up the AHL last year before his final call-up.
Really looking forward to seeing Teubert in NHL action. I dont expect to be wow'd or anything but I have high hopes for him long-term.
Hemsky is traveling with the team and has a slim chance at dressing this weekend. This time next week seems more realistic.

i second you on teubert. i thought plante looked alright in his first game this year but teubert should be a better all round guy. as long as he doesnt get in a fight i will be happy. the last thing this guy needs is another concussion.

1 last point about Omark I forgot to mention. 1 reason he was sent down is because if he plays 3 more NHL games he loses 2 way status and has to go thru waivers to be sent down.
