This is when we need Carey Price to ask everyone to chill out?....

I am still surprised he signed. He could pick his championship team if he wanted to.. Holy man this looks like it's gonna be rough.

Depends how you look at it.... Last years preseason looked like this:

    Colorado 6-0-0
    Detroit 6-1-1
    Arizona 5-1-2

I'd rather have Jagr for $2M than Hemsky for $1M.

Something to keep in mind: Habs' farm team is also in Montreal this year so calling up players for home games will be fast. Lindgren could steal starts from Montoya.

They gave him a 2 year extension last January right?
Guess they didn't feel CL WAS ready?

That was signed before Lindgren made such a strong impression. Your point?

They also needed to expose a goalie in the expansion draft. Lindgren didn't count because he hasn't played two years professionally.

So their option was to either to re-sign Montoya, or trade for another goalie who had at a contract for at least one more year.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

They could have simply exposed Lindgren (I think) which would have worked since LV had a major boner for dmen. They even overlooked Hudon.

That's awesome. Hope he sticks and has a great season.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Pretty sad when Morrow/Davidson are the next guys up until Schlemko returns. Hopefully Jerabek learns the AHL quickly.
