MB doesn't like UFAs. He doesn't like trading (for) top assets.

Best keep dreaming about more bottom six forwards and #7-#8 defensemen, and, who knows, maybe accidentally using a first round pick to draft a decent player more than once every decade.

P.S. No playoff hockey is not good for my morale.

It hasn't been touched here, but one of the best fit on the Habs would be Radulov. No asset needed to acquire him, probably will cost less than Okposo , more talented

Only problem is, why would he want to be coached by Therrien ?

I'm sure Radulov would contact his fellow countryman Alex Semin to find out all about life with the Habs.

Based on his reputation, it doesn't sound like he wants to be "coached" by anyone.

    Oh. And please, no.

Radulov would actually make the team better. They need scoring badly.

I disagree. A guy who stays up partying all night the night before a playoff game does not make your team better. He might score goals for you, but he doesn't help make you a better team.

Give that money to someone who scores a little less but cares a helluva a lot more.

You're too hung up on that stuff. Not every NHL player is a perfect citizen. They just have to do their job on the ice.

Well, I also think him "doing the job on the ice" is highly debatable. Last I checked, a hockey rink has 200ft. But hey agree to disagree. I'm quite sure plenty of teams will have interest, just as I'm sure many wouldn't go near him with a 20 foot pole. Pretty sure Nashville is on that last list, and I for one hope MB will all his talk about character also will be.

Would the Habs bring the Kostitsyn's back to form a line with Radulov?? Would keep the press busy and some might shy away from all this Subbab trade talk..

The only winners here would be the nightclubs on St-Laurent street...

Just beginning to look into the draft eligible players a bit more. Logan Brown, Keller and Jost all strike me as intriguing in their own rights.

More I look at it, McLeod is going to slip and more so be in the 14-18 range (team depending). It's looking more and more to be Brown, Nylander or Jost. Nylander could easily slip to #9 in the draft based on the teams picking before.

Nylander would make not moving up after the draft lottery sting less!

If we are in a spot to land Nylander, i'd really really love to see if we could swap him to the leafs in some sort of deal for JVR, but I highly doubt any of that happens.

Stranger things have happened I guess.

I wouldn't do that that deal for thre Habs. Nylander can play the right side, where the Habs need more help. They have guys (Carr, Hudon) who can slide into the left side on their roster and shown the ability to play in the NHL (though Hudon needs some work to his 2-way game).
