No she got to wear a regular home Subban jersey. Not her favorite player.

I was ready to honor my end of the bet if the Habs lost. No regrets!

It was actually a pretty fun day...

Side topic as I posted this in another thread but do you guys think this reunion will happen come July 1st?

    Sure that would be great!
MB has to get rid of Plekanec to make this work. As much as I like Plekanec, a 3C at 6M$ is way to much expensive.
One of Desharnais or Emelin at 3,5M$ and 4,1M$ should go too to make some $$$ room.
Keeper league (12 teams) - keep 6 (+ NHL team is auto keep)
    Weekly lineup: 1T, 9F, 4D, 1G
    Points only:
    Forwards & Dmen: goal (1), assist (1)
    Goalies: win (2), otl/sol (1), shutout (2)
    Team: win (2), otl/sol (1)
Only 2 FA pickups for the season (remaining: 0)

    [T] Edmonton
    [F] Panarin, Pettersson, Bedard
    [D] Heiskanen, Theodore, Dobson

Come July 1st, Plucky's NTC expires and Emelins NTC loosens up significantly.

If the Habs are to make a run at Stamkos and are able to sign him, I think you could see Desharnais being bought out and Emelin moved. Plucky is a tough one to move because he's going to provide you with 50+ points and such a strong defensive game that I don't know if you're going to get full value in return for him. Signing Stammer and having him play wing would be the ideal situation as there would then be no reason to move Plucky.

Habs would then be just a LW shy of a complete top 6. Which could be filled with guys like Carr, Andrighetto or Hudon.

I don't think Stamkos will be signing with the Habs if they're planning on using him on the wing.

If you're tying your hands by giving $10M+ to one player, you better make sure he's a very, very special player.

Personally, I think there are better uses for that cap space.

There is the planning for the future that needs to be considered as well. Economic uncertainties raise issues with the cap in the coming years as well. Signing Stammer is not as easy as we all think.

Here's a great article which summarizes the intangibles behind signing Stamkos and the potential future consequences of such action:
    http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/20...real-canadiens

Also contrary to what I said earlier, Plucky & his $6M would have to move in order to accommodate the youngster contracts coming up. Essentially he would have to be out by the start of the 2017/18 season to make a potential Stamkos signing work (based off new info coming to light to me)

I'd rather see them going after a Lucic or Ladd if they go UFA. Or failing that, Eriksson or maybe Okposo.

Can easily see each of those guys asking north of $6M (iffy on Ladd getting that much). Out of that list, Lucic is probably the only guy I would pay that too (and chanceless he comes to MTL).

Okposo & Eriksson are highly overrated from my viewpoint and Ladd just seems to have lost a gear...but his leadership and experience would still be a huge benefit. I would sign Ladd for 4.5-5 to play on the second line and bring his culture to the dressing room.

I have no trust that Eriksson can repeat his season. Five years ago, yes. Now, not so much.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko

Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid
