Yet Pierre LeBrun called around and couldn't fin any GM saying he's heard Subban's name out there...I trust LeBrun more than the other source saying he's having his market gauged.

This is typical of a Habs' trainwreck year. Every rumor imaginable is being kicked around.

    You know it's coming!

Also, Habs should sign Briere out of retirement.

I'm thinking there's a gag order about Prust talk... I mean, they could have had him on waivers not that long ago and we could have put your idea to the test...

He's obviously not the most talented player, but he seems to be a player with heart..

I thought they might claim him to try to do SOMETHING other than status quo or yet another random shuffling of lines.

Anyone else frustrated with the lack of Habs games on the weekends. They didn't play Saturday or Sunday this weekend, or Saturday/Sunday last weekend. Throw in the all-star break, and they've only played a total of one Saturday/Sunday game in the last four weeks. Just doesn't seem right to not be able to watch Montreal hockey on the weekends.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

If there's a silver lining it's having this take place during a bad stretch of team play. But yeah, I'm used to putting 3 hours aside every Saturday...

I know, right? Now I have to find ways to ruin my weekend on my own.

Sad to hear for Gilbert. Man knee injuries are tough, wish him the best in his recovery.

Prime example of waiting too long to trade one of your deadline assets. This burns the Habs pretty badly right now as they could have gotten a 2nd rounder for him in the draft. Now UFA at season's end, not likely to be resigned, this is just terrible news. The trainwreck of luck continues to roll.

I don't think Gilbert would have been traded until the deadline either way. I see him more as a team's consolation prize if they fail to add a better depth dman.
