I wonder if the Habs are regretting not snagging one of those goalies who have passed through waivers lately.

I agree, anyone that knows how to miss the post by like an inch would be a welcome addition right now.

Montreal has not had a lead since they won against Ottawa on Dec. 12. That's 300 minutes of hockey time without a lead.

    That's a crazy stat!
Turnovers and hesitant play are not helping + offense has gone dry. DD, Weise, Plekanec, Fleischmann, etc. have all come down to earth.
That being said, the Habs are also snakebitten right now... Pacioretty notably has had many chances yesterday but couldn't capitalize.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

That's actually ridiculous. Talk about a really bad slump

I know that the problem currently with the Habs doesn't come fully from their goalies, but do you guys think that getting Price back will help the team ''gel'' better and start scoring more rather than focusing on keeping the puck out of their own net?

We've all been saying for years now that they need some elite talent up front. We most likely forgot about this missing component when the team was playing well early on, but now, that reality is plaguing them.

Things would be so much easier if Sherbak could instantly become the next Tarasenko... we can all dream, right?

If I was looking at our record without knowing the highs and lows we've had so far this season I would have said we are right around where we should be...maybe 2 or 3 more wins but this was my expectation at about the half way point.

    20 - 13 - 3 for 43 points and first in the division.

Very true; but knowing the context, it's a bit worrisome! I would have preferred a slow start and a bunch of wins later on rather than the torrid start they had followed by a long stretch with little-to-no goals scored and quite a few let in.

Here's to hoping that the Holiday Season spreads more than just Christmas Cheer to this team

Just to update this stat. The Habs have now gone six full games without a lead. And they've been tied for just 81 minutes and 58 seconds of those 360 minutes. Which means they've been trailing for 278 of the last 360 minutes.
