No GM is going to be perfect in the salary cap era. When a player doesn't work it's not just a matter of stuffing him on the fourth line or in the press box (or in a trade) and simply moving on. The player's salary also gets seen as dead money and the team gets scrutinized for it.

That's why most of us were fine with the Semin signing. With a one-year deal at a cheap cost, it didn't really matter if it didn't work out since you could bury him in the minors without much impact on the salary cap. That said, we all would've preferred for it to work better than it has for now.

Great job getting early goal support for Condon. I don't yet see this as a panic situation though despite what the media is saying. It's still early in the regular season.

Therrien made a speech similar to last time saying Price could have played if it was a playoff game but they're not taking chances.

The way they're getting hit by injuries they might have to dress Tinordi on the 4th line soon...

It was only a matter of time until the Habs hit a tough stretch of injuries. They've been lucky for a while. Still, I don't think it's that bad since they all seem like minor injury (aside from Gallagher).

I'm not worried about Price just yet. I think they'll be prudent and hold him back another week or so but unless he's injured come March and April, the Habs should be fine.

I'm glad I picked up Condon in my one-year league though!

Regarding Price... it's still month #2 of the REGULAR SEASON. The team has higher playoff goals and I doubt taking a small hit in the regular season matters in the long run.

According to Renaud Lavoie Christian Thomas will be called up. I would guess he does press box duty while Holloway gets in the lineup.
