Is anyone very confused about the goalie interference rules after what we've seen this year?
Mitchell is out tonight so Semin is back in.

I am. The whole coaches challenge rubs me the wrong way. You go over blueline at 12:30, play goes on, goal scores at 13:30 ----- offside coaches challenge ------- goal disallowed, play resumes at 13:30 and not at 12:30. They want to increase scoring but is doing everything possible to disallow goals. I know they're trying to make the RIGHT calls but in this instance going back after the play has resumed for some time and saying NO that is not a goal is kinda ridiculous. If no off-side is called by ref just let it go. Thats just me anyways
But as for tonights game, am glad Carey got back in there and get the W. Let in 3 goals but its his first game. Go Habs!!!
Andrighetto has been called up. I assume he'll sit on Sunday. Semin had a surprisingly good game.

During the game yesterday Gallagher moved to the Galchenyuk line and DSP moved to the top line.

Holloway I believe has to pass through waivers to be sent back down. Is he Semin's permanent replacement?

Habs' depth to be tested in coming weeks. Andrighetto, Holloway already up to cover for DSP and Mitchell. I'm expecting someone to be called up today to cover for Gallagher. Honestly I don't think they'll take a big hit. Lots of their AHL guys are excelling this year.
McCarron time?

Great news about Bergevin. Brings stability to the top level and means he'll be able to keep applying his plan. He's not been perfect but he's been a HUGE improvment over the Gainey-Gauthier years. A clear direction and team mentality has been established with his presence.
Otherwise, I'm not huge on DSP on the first line but he's played well so far this year so I guess it's some kind of a reward. Still, he needs to show he can finish plays offensively because he'll have to. Going hard to the net and finishing checks won't be enough if he can't produce. I wouldn't mind seeing Semin getting a longer look but his defensive deficiencies probably means he never will. Maybe a kid like Andrighetto might get a chance.
I'm also sad to see Pateryn out of the lineup because he played really well so far but, at the same time, no regulars deserve to be scratched either. Gilbert has rebounded nicely over the last few games and the top 4 has been really solid. Glad that Emelin will slot in with Gilbert in order to keep Petry and Beaulieu together.
