Interesting note from Friedman:

28. Canadiens coach Michel Therrien confirmed Tuesday what was widely suspected, that Zack Kassian had already been through Stage One of the NHL/NHLPA Substance Abuse Program.

It had been rumoured that was the case in Vancouver, but the Canucks never confirmed it at the time, nor should they have. Stan Smyl spent a ton of time working with Kassian, but it’s very clear the Canadiens are already out of patience.

It’s extremely unlikely he will play for Montreal this season. Can only hope the possibility his NHL career could be over scares him to the proper path.

I knew he was gone for a bit, but I never figured he could be gone for the season. Hopefully, like Friedman said, this is a wakeup call.

I believe stage one is the voluntary part. I could be wrong but I remember hearing about this once upon a time.

Thanks. I just finished setting up my father with a Roku box to watch the blacked out games. Looks like Oct 13 is the first game he'll be watching on Roku...

I tried to watch a couple of games on TVA Sports but I couldn't stop myself from cringing. The analysis is terrible and the play-calling is awful. Can't do it. Sportsnet is not perfect but it's much better.

I just totally disagree with paying for a channel and not getting what comes with that channel. It's not like the price dropped. And if you take Habs games off of RDS you're left with no value whatsoever.
