If nobody that jumps out is available then might as well leave the cap space for something bigger. Habs already have 13 forwards and if they prefer sending de la Rose down they can call up a guy with no future like Gabriel Dumont or Bud Holloway to play 13th forward.

Darn, I had forgot about De La Rose... Dumont is all heart, but he does not have the grind and power of DSP or even DLR; which is what I think is needed on that line. Talbot would fit in nicely, but as I said, I had forgot about De La Rose!

As 13th forward Dumont would only be asked to eat popcorn on game nights...

Exactly. I think Dumont would be a perfect team player in that role. All heart!

I wouldn't mind grabbing a younger guy like Garrett Wilson off waivers. He did well at Panthers' camp.

Good call! I just read somewhere that he was tops in goals AND Pims for the Rampage last year! Would be a nice energy-type player.

Hmmm, not bad. A good character player that can be play different roles for the Habs...

Read in the article that they officially sent De La Rose down with this move.

Good move if de la Rose was going to be in and out of the lineup.

True; you think he's going to light it up a lot in Saint-John's? I mean, with his NHL experience, he should be able to post decent stats in the AHL I would think...

I would expect him to show some improvement offensively. I think that's the goal. His defensive game is NHL-ready but they can probably turn him into a better point producer with more experience in the minors. Get him used to being in on key goals.

Both Barberio and Tokarski cleared and were sent to the AHL.

That's good. But they will have to clear wavers again to get back up right?
