Bournival fails neurological test. This has been ongoing for long enough that I think his career is in danger.

That sucks for him. I was never a big fan, but he was a decent depth option.

I always liked him as a forechecker due to his speed. I'm just wondering though... he's 23 now. If/when this clears up for him he might not have much track left in the NHL anyway.

I really want Tinordi to take the next step this year. I'd like to him to live up to his draft rank.

As for Pateryn, I really didn't mind him at all last year. He did good work. If Tinordi doesn't show enough I'm good with Pateryn as our 7th dmen.

Thanks for the link. I will probably take a look at the game at some point tonight if I get the time.

For that reason I think we see Tinordi in the minors again barring injury. Pateryn is better suited as a press box guy. Tinordi has way more upside so he's worth developing. I'm not worried about him as dmen take longer, especially guys built like a giraffe.

Yeah that makes sence. They have more ridding on Tinordi becoming a good NHL dmen, so giving him top minutes in the AHL in all situations would be better for his development and for the team in general.

We shouldn't sleep on Barberio either. I think he starts in the AHL but if Markov or Beaulieu get injured and we need a better PP option than Gilbert (Yuck!), he definitely fits the bill.

Is the lineup out for tonight's game yet?

Do preseason lineups ever get made public before game time? I'm not even sure although I'm not the biggest preseason follower.

    You win!

A couple interesting things here. Of course things will change but it's interesting to see where it stands today:
-Barberio being paired with a guy that won't make the team probably means he's #3 in that race as of today.
-Looks like the target 1st line is Pac-Plek-Gallagher with Andrighetto being the replacement for today.
-I'm anxious to see McCarron at C.

    Nice find!

I'm interested to see how Kassian and McCarron do up front. That second D pairing will be interesting to watch. Having them play together will be an interesting battle.

We all know what Price can do, so I want to see how Fucale handles himself.

Price can sometimes be pretty bad in at this time of the year. He's a bit of a slow starter.

Also keeping an eye on Barberio and Petry on the blue line.

I'm just waiting for Marner, Kapanen, or Nylander to put one past Price and then Leaf Nation exploding into jubilee that they are a goal scoring powerhouse.
