Interesting news this morning...
Bergevin says there will be a captain before the end of training camp and states that Galchenyuk will play center.

I really like the idea of Galchenyuk at C. That's where he has shown the most potential in the NHL and the offense looked a lot more dynamic. The only reason not to go there is if he prefers to not learn the position and stay out of the spotlight.

Noah Juulsen has a consussion. He will miss the rookie camp. Not sure about training camp itself. He has 0 chance of making the team but I know some of you want to get a closer look at him...

If Galchenyuk plays center, it's like 99.9% certain that his RW will be Gallagher. Semin is too much of a liability defensively to play with Galchenyuk off the bat, even though I think these two could be deadly together.

Regardless of who is on the team you know Weise will be in the top six 80% of the time.

On a more serious note, regardless of what happens initially Galchenyuk will eventually end up between Pacioretty and Gallagher. Plekanec always gets the scraps so he'll get Semin and whoever.

I'm hearing/reading a lot of good stuff about Daniel Carr lately. Most recently he appeared in Button's 10 prospects to watch at camp. When lightning strikes a bunch of times at the same place I tend to pay more attention. Just something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks/months...
