Of this list who do you see being a fit? Personally I think Frolik, Williams and Stafford make the most sense. Of course it depends on finances as the team still has to sign Galchenyuk and there's still a lot of trades to be made league-wide.

Frolik, Stafford, Williams and Stewart. Getting a winger is a must for Bergevin this summer and these names stick out for me.

RW was a dead spot this year. Weise was the second-leading RW point producer. Not good.

St. Louis could fill in for one year and buy them some time to address the position for longer than that.

    I'd take a 3M/Year flyer on St-Louis at RW.

St. Louis won't sign for that low, unless it's on a team like Pittsburgh. Montreal would have to pay him at least $5 million for three years, I would think.

Pateryn gets two-year extension. He's already under contract for 2015-16.

Looks like we traded for Kassian. Such a Therrien move. Big Body, little offensive skills. Therrien might use him 25 minutes a game.

Kassian to Mtl! I was hoping.

Don't know what goes back. Dare I dream Emelin is gone?

Prust and a 5th for Kassian.

    I like that.

I'm not happy about losing Prust.

    He was a warrior.

Habs were in a tough spot with the cap, though. Hopefully this gives space to acquire that top 6 RW.

The way I see it is they cleared some cap, got a similar player in return, but one that is younger and has some degree of upside to him (relative to Prust). They didn't really "lose" anything in this trade but did gain some stuff, IMO.

    Younger.
    Improved scoring.

I like it. They have enough bottom-six "character" guys.

    Two late signings:

    Bud Holloway and Mark Barberio

    Both to two-way contracts.
