Besides the "difficulty" factor, I think that a DET-MTL series would be more fun to watch. Also, it could rekindle old memories -How long has it been since a Mtl-Det series? I am also curious as to how the commentators on TVA Sports would mess up the octopus throwing tradition.
    On a fantasy hockey break.

1978 was the last time these two teams met in the playoffs!! (DET VS. MON)

Habs-wings would be good for nostalgia but currently I think it would be a boring matchup and possibly the worst of round 2. I could see a wack of 2-1 results with both teams playing safe for the most part. Not that I care personally because it's always exciting or intense as a fan of a team but I don't think it would provide much of a spectacle league wide.

Beaulieu is not expected to play in the first four games of round 2. Game four will be next Thursday (May 7) regardless of the outcome of tonight's game.

Doesn't appear to be any lineup changes yet according to practice lines.

Would be nice if tonight's wings/bolts game 7 goes into quadruple overtime and include a bunch of...well, I wouldn't wish injury on a player so let's just say suspensions?

Price, Ovechkin and Tavares nominated for the Hart.

It wasn't my preferred match-up but then again there's a lot of teams with no games scheduled this weekend!

hahaha true! It will be an interesting series, and I think whoever figures out their PP first will win.

What if both teams continue to struggle on the PP? Do we get endless overtimes?

Probably a couple of OT games. And a bunch of 2-1, 3-2 games with the odd empty netter.

If MTL gets a few PP goals, they could easily win this series with the way Price is playing.
