Everyone has assumed it's a concussion since day 1, but they haven't announced it. Teams that publicly confirm it is a concussion then must follow certain protocols before a player can return - by not announcing it, they have added flexibility in how and when to bring him back.

We basically have large wooden cubicles so a small tarp over the corner directly above my computer would be fine.

Although tinted visors would be awesome, especially if we can get them signed by Max!

Either way it's going to be a tough series. They can still win though - they didn't finish that high by accident. It's a very good team.

Pacioretty practiced with Desharnais and Smith-Pelly today. No medical clearance to return to the lineup yet. Getting closer.

In fairness, we don't even have official reports on the injury or the severity. He was kept out of game 1 so they've already shown they're not just throwing him to the wolves once the important games start.

In past years there were several players that magically passed all of the tests prior to game #83.

According to La Presse, Pacioretty does have a concussion.

The article cites a player has a source of the info. Although the player remained anonymous, it sounds as if it may have been Parenteau since the player also discussed his own recent experience with concussions. Not sure the organization will be pleased a player discussed this on an "anonymousl" basis with the media, although it was always pretty obvious to everyone.
