Going to be interesting to see what the Habs do with scratches come playoff time. I figure Weaver will get some playoff games, considering how he stepped up in the postseason last year. And Malhotra will probably play because of his faceoff prowess, especially in the third period when we have a lead.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

The extras aren't a problem when inevitable injuries start becoming a factor. At least this way they won't get burned trying to force a Gabriel Dumont type into the mix.

Was looking at the stats on the weekend. Not sure if it's the same after yesterday's games, but Montreal could pretty much play anyone in the first round with the exception of Tampa and the Rangers. The Islanders, Penguins, Caps, Red Wings, Bruins and Sens are still potential opponents.

You can thank (blame?) the parity-obsessed NHL with their extra overtime points for that!

Parenteau has 7 pts in 13 games since returning to the lineup. He's not standing out that much but the production is definitely needed on this team especially if Pac is out for a while.

Love seeing incomplete articles like this: (french)

    http://www.rds.ca/hockey/canadiens/l...oile-1.2229436

What is the criteria for this trophy? Unsung hero? Community work? Leadership? Am I missing something here? I like that Weise is being recognized for something but I would like to know what this is all about...

    Edit: http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/la...rd-unsung-hero

Sheds a bit of light (I think?). Unsung hero award.

Pacioretty will miss the final two regular season games. Status is unclear for next week.

Lets hope it's not too serious. He got his bells rung good vs. FLA.

The Habs don't need him to finish the season, but will be in trouble if he misses significant time in the playoffs.

Reading between the lines it looks like Price will get Saturday off if the Habs clinch the division title. Otherwise he'll be suiting up for both games.

I would like him to be well rested for the playoffs. The Habs will have a tough game tonight as the Wings are still trying to improve their place in the standings.

For my fantasy team, I need him to play. And back to back shutouts would be nice as well. I'm only eight points up on second place.

Bozon has been assigned to the Habs farm team. That's the kid that had meningitis, lost 40 pounds and was in a medically-induced coma a year ago.
