I am so happy that Price has turned out to be arguably the best goaltender in hockey right now. I've been a huge fan since watching him at the World Junior tourney in Sweden. Guess Montreal made the right choice when they dealt Halak even after his great playoff run! I'm disappointed though that I don't own him in any of my fantasy leagues. Oh yeah, been impressed with Pacioretty and to a lesser extent Plekanec lately. With Price in net, they could very well be the team to represent the East, you know, considering how well they play Boston.

    I certainly hope so!

Today was a great example of what happens when an entire team packs it in after a hot start.

Eller suffered an injury when he was pushed into the net. I saw him out there for a PK afterwards but didn't see him after that.

    Anyone else concerned with Tokarski?

Any reason why we should be? He's a backup, still a rookie, who doesn't get a lot of playing time.

All over the place when he moves around, poor mechanics leading to bad goals... He's not on top of his game right now. Still a good goalie, I'm just thinking Price will be getting too many games down the stretch.

Not saying his career is over or anything, more of a short-term concern of mine...

Good observations, and I do agree - but I tend to not worry about young goalies like that. It's such a crapshoot with trying to guess how his game will progress. Montreal is and will continue to be a solid team though, and I think he will be a fine backup in the coming years.

I guess my concerns lie more with how much rest Price will get in the second half. I know Price can handle 70+ games but I don't think that helps him deeper in the postseason. If Tokarski has more shaky outings I can see Price overworked down the stretch.

Yeah. I wonder if they'll give him some rest in the last 2 weeks of the season... I would assume so, even if Tokarski isn't playing great. 2 games against the Panthers and 1 against the devils in those last 2.5ish weeks.

I hope they find a way to work it in, not just for Price but for the sake of keeping Tokarski in the loop.

De La Rose / Eller / Sekac

That's a nice big third line. Excited to see what they can do tonight.
