General thoughts
Solid all-around effort. The Habs dominated on the scoreboard and in shots on goal. They got better as the game progressed. That said, the Flyers barely showed up tonight. Things are not looking good over there.
Carey Price
He was not overly busy but made a few key saves. When the team is controlling the play the last thing you want is for the goalie to allow a soft one. Price shut the door when called upon.
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Simply outstanding. Every time they are on the ice they get chances to score.
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Much better than last time. Bourque and Gionta were especially good setting each other up for goals.
Prust-Desharnais-Briere
Not much from this line. Desharnais was invisible. Briere is trying but has to stop taking dumb penalties when he loses the puck.
Moen-Bournival-White
Didn't notice them much. Bournival showed flashes when he did play. White was good overall but going after Simmonds in the third was unnecessary.
Subban-Gorges
Solid night for both. Subban did very well controlling the puck and overcoming the added focus that other teams will put towards shutting him down on the power play.
Markov-Diaz
Markov was very good. No mistakes and a ton of chances generated from his stick. Diaz on the other hand is off to a rough start. He is very soft, makes too many mistakes and gets caught with penalties.
Bouillon-Tinordi
Not really noticeable but that is a good thing. They did not get beat. They had more ice time towards the end of the game when the outcome was decided.

that Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher line is a keeper, they've got great chemistry and shit just seems to happen when they're on the ice, part of it is hard work, part is creativity, part of it is skill but it all works really well together
Interesting ice time breakdown:
Eller 18:43
Plekanec 18:02
Desharnais 13:54

Eller's line finally getting some PP time helped... well, almost half the game was played on special teams, so if they weren't getting ice time there, they would have ended up with less than 10:00.
Good to see Eller rewarded... and Desharnais' leash is already getting shorter. Hope for him and the team that MaxPac injury is minor.

Gionta had to get out of the plane that took te Habs to Calgary. Apparently, one of his sons was taken to the hospital. It's not sure wheter or not he'll join his teamates in time for Wednesday night.
Also, for some reason Rotoworld posted an update saying Parros would not be on the trip. I think most of us saw this coming but in case you didn't, well there you go.

Man, I'm sure I say this every season, but the schedule leaves a lot to be desired. After the opening night, the Habs have played one game in the last seven days. We're only a week into the season. Hard to build momentum.
Come March, when the Olympic break is done and the team is playing five games in nine days and are exhausted, we can look back at this week and wonder why they couldn't get one of those games in now.
